The Dog and Cat Crisis Hidden Behind the City’s Glitz and Glamour

Behind Miami’s luxury hotels, sparkling beaches and international image is a disturbing reality: dogs and cats abandoned on the streets, unchecked breeding, hoarding, cruelty, overwhelmed shelters, fraudulent organizations, donation scams and a rescue system too often protected by politics, fear and silence.

Together with the TNR PRO Hero Foundation, we are sponsoring the Not Enough of Us documentary and podcast to bring these hidden failures—and the courageous people confronting them—into public view. In mid-October, iFilm Heroes will come to Greater Miami for ten days of filming and in-depth interviews with rescuers, advocates, volunteers and whistleblowers who are ready to expose what is happening, demand accountability and advance real solutions rooted in prevention, education and accessible spay and neuter services.

Twelve people will be selected to share their stories.
